Manage budget development, defense, and execution activities for complex, Civil Works programs across multiple appropriations.
Monitor project funding, budgets, schedules, and financial performance to ensure effective program execution and compliance with funding requirements.
Coordinate with federal, state, and internal partners to resolve budget issues and support project planning and execution.
Analyze financial and program data to develop budget recommendations and advise leadership on funding and program status.
Prepare and present budget and financial information to senior leaders and representatives from federal and state agencies.
Ensure compliance with applicable financial policies, regulations, and program requirements while overseeing multiple funding sources and project authorizations.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
One year of specialized experience which includes:1) planning, tracking, and managing program budgets, funding, and project schedules for civil works; AND 2) Analyzing financial and program data through automated project management and financial management systems; AND 3) Coordinating with internal and external team members providing guidance on budget and program management, and advising leadership on program status and resource needs.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
