### **Beschreibung** ###

As a first-tier supplier to our renowned business partner **Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz**, we are currently looking for a motivated and dedicated **HW Integration Engineer** for a temporary assignment of 12 months, with high probability of extension.

In our HW Integration team, we are the cornerstone of confidence. We don-t just test; we ensure that complex interactions between electronics, mechanics, firmware, and software result in a seamless and reliable diagnostic product.

As a HW Integration Engineer, you will operate at the critical intersection of hardware and software.

Your focus will be deeply mechatronic - actively checking and parameterizing physical hardware, interacting directly with firmware, and systematically bridging the gap between disciplines within R&D and other teams from production and customer support.

You will join a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment of experts, serving as the primary point of contact for complex mechatronic issue analysis - helping us uncover weaknesses early and building diagnostic 'hooks' directly into our design.

### Tasks & Responsibilities ###

* Driving System Integration & Integrity: You will act as a guardian of system quality, leading the physical and logical integration of hardware and software modules into a cohesive, high-performing whole.

* Hardware Parametrization & Firmware Interaction: Rather than just verifying a small part in isolation, you will define critical parameters, configure and program test software, and parameterize the firmware and software to optimize performance and ensure smooth and reliable operation over its lifetime.

* Proactive Robustness & Endurance Testing: Instead of simply executing scripts, you will design and arrange advanced electromechanical test setups, long-term endurance trials, and lifetime reliability tests (targeting critical metrics like MTBF and MTBRV) to explore the system's limits under real-world conditions including SW.

* Transforming Data into Insight: You will listen to what our instruments are telling us. By continuously supervising parameters, tracking hardware counters, and analyzing complex data logs, you will turn raw observations into actionable improvements.

* Collaborative Troubleshooting & Root-Cause Analysis: You will own the journey of mechatronic issues from first discovery to resolution. Collaborating across electronics, mechanics, firmware and software teams, you will perform deep-dive troubleshooting to deliver elegant, fact-based fixes.

* Bridge-Building across R&D and Operations: You will serve as a key technical partner, ensuring the smooth transfer of robust, validated mechatronic designs to our global manufacturing and service partners.

### Must Haves ###

* A BSc/MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline

* 5 years of hands-on experience in HW/SW integration, unit- and system-level testing, or mechatronic troubleshooting

* Experience in a regulated environment (such as MedTech, Diagnostics, IVD, or GxP) is a strong advantage

* Technical Toolkit

A deep understanding of mechatronics (the physical interplay between mechanics and electronics) and its interaction with firmware and software.

Experience in scripting or programming for test execution and automation.

Comfort and experience working in a Linux environment.

* Mindset: A curious investigator who loves to figure out how complex systems work under the hood. A strong interest in emerging technologies and are eager to explore how AI-assisted tools can be leveraged to optimize hardware testing and data analysis. The person works precisely and persistently, communicating technical findings with empathy and clarity to foster collaborative solutions.

* Fluency in English is required; German is a great advantage for local collaboration.

### Benefits ###

* Become part of one of the most prestigious pharmaceutical companies and actively shape the future of healthcare

* Experience a work culture that promotes diversity and inclusion and where all employees feel valued

* Work on a state-of-the-art campus featuring green spaces, meeting areas, and an inspiring atmosphere

* Work with modern and up-to-date tools in an innovative work environment

* Start with a professional onboarding process and a thorough introduction to your new role during the Welcome Days

* Benefit from financial support for your professional development plans

* Enjoy a selection of high-quality meals in modern staff restaurants

* As part of a sustainable mobility concept, on-site parking spaces are available to you (subject to eligibility criteria)

* Take advantage of unbeatable, year-round discounts at renowned retailers and over 200 top brands

* Benefit from fleet discounts when purchasing new cars or receive constant fuel discounts with our fuel card
