The posting

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Front Office Agent for a 196-rooms hotel located at a vibrant location in London and offering a lot of exciting projects to be involved in! The hotel is part of the award-winning German-based Motel One Group. Join our team and grab this unique opportunity!

The property - currently under the name of Lancaster Gate Hotel - is undergoing an amazing project of refurbishment and renovation with the final rebranding of our first The Cloud One Hotel to launch in London. It is a great opportunity for who wants to learn more than reception basics and enjoy the upgrade of the hotel you wok in daily, sharing this with our guests and team with pride.

The focus of this role is on the professional care of our hotel guests – from a warm welcome at check-in to a genuine farewell at departure. Your duties will also include the following:

Looking after our guests, including check-in and check-out

Reviewing and processing bookings, overbookings and options

Invoicing, including managing payments, as well as cash transactions and cashing up

Organisational and administrative tasks in both our front and back office (e.g. managing no-shows, answering emails)

Gaining interdepartmental insights into new areas of activity by working in our multicultural teams

Knowledge in Front Office PMS such as Opera Cloud or Opera is an advantage

Must have flexibility to work combination of shifts and occasional Night Shift if required

Whether you are a hotel professional or changing careers – you will fit in here! Because personality and hosting skills are our priority. You will also:

Have completed an apprenticeship in the hotel trade and/or have professional experience in the hotel/catering industry

Have an excellent sense of quality and service, as well as hosting skills and a passion for the hotel industry

Be open and communicative and have a solid command of English

Be a team player and willing to provide assistance across departments – we achieve our results together

Ideally with knowledge of Opera Cloud

Must be flexible with shifts pattern

Please note we only accept applications with full rights to work in the UK based on full time hours, the hotel does not offer any kind of sponsorship
