Program Manager (Equine and Facilities)

Direct long-range planning for equine program operations.

Manage multi-year budgets for equine operations and facilities programs.

Develop and implement policies governing equine operations.

Conduct compliance reviews and risk assessments to identify operational deficiencies.

Lead program briefings and outreach efforts to communicate program goals, challenges, resources, and performance outcomes.

Lead incident investigations for equine related events.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which include 1) Manage a complex equine program involving animal care operations; 2) Experience managing equine facilities, including stables, riding areas, training grounds, and support structures, ensuring they meet all Federal, safety, and environmental requirements; 3) Direct long-range planning for an equine program: and 4) Develop and implement policies governing equine operations ensuring alignment with agency directives.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
