Facilities Project Manager

Serving as a Facilities Project Manager GS-1601-12 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is located in the Design and Construction Branch (DCB), Facilities Management Division (FMD) under the Mission and Readiness Support Directorate (MRSD) in Glynco, Georgia.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide project management services for various construction and renovation projects. This position has overall responsibility for planning, scoping, development, design, construction, direction, analysis and evaluation of construction projects of varying scope and complexity.

Physical Demands: In addition to the work performed in the office, position regularly visits construction sites, involving prolonged standing while monitoring construction operations. Work Environment: In addition to the work that may be performed in an office setting, the duties involve regular and recurring visits to construction sites.

Such visits require use of appropriate protective clothing or gear such as safety glasses and shoes, ear protection, hard hats, and observance of appropriate safety precautions.

Time-in-grade: Current General Schedule (GS) federal employees, and those that have served in GS positions within the last 52 weeks, must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade, or a combination of the next lower grade level and an equivalent band in the federal service by the closing of this announcement.
