Main Responsibilities
Demand Planning and Forecasting
Responsible for supporting the preparation and follow-up of OE sales reports for the regional business, ensuring alignment with established targets.
Identify, analyze, and consolidate risks and opportunities in the sales forecast to support business decisions.
Analyze and update demand forecast on a weekly basis based on customer releases, oversee phase-in/phase-out process.
Engage with supply chain management counterparts at customers to confirm or adjust demand as necessary to ensure supply, forecast accuracy, and alignment with business objectives.
Verify production plans at Continental plants are aligned with customer demand forecast on a weekly basis, negotiate adjustments to production plans as required.
Notify Continental plants of any volume variations to ensure timely adaptation of the production plans, monitor inventory levels against customer requirements and generate reports to meet central and local SCM needs.
Deliveries Management
Ensure OE customer requirements are met through daily EDI monitoring and maintaining direct communication with customers.
Responsible for order processing and transportation scheduling with Continental plants and warehouses. Key tasks include overseeing exports documentation, resolving EDI errors, verifying the quality of Advanced Shipment Notice and maintaining SAP master data.
Logistics Performance
Access customer performance tools and reports at customers’ online supplier portals, share performance updates and indicators with all relevant stakeholders, including Quality and Key Account Managers.
Monitor action plans and 8D tasks to drive performance improvements, discuss and negotiate undue penalties with customers, support logistics audits.
Ensure compliance with MMOG (Material Management Operations Guideline) requirements through effective implementation.
Price Maintenance and Overdue Management
Maintain pricing, track raw material price development indices.
Update Net pricing in SAP inline with contractual agreements and customer purchase orders.
Check invoice prices regularly to ensure invoices are issued with correct pricing.
As required, generate complementary invoices, dispute debit notes with customers and accounting, support the collection of overdue payments.
Support monthly overdue management meetings, manage overdue with Accounts Receivables and Key Account Management teams.
Internal and External Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional support and service.
Ensure effective and regular communication through periodic customer visits.
Development of New Customers and Products
Support development of new customers and products by creating specific purchase orders to arrange special freights required by tire development projects.
Coordinate prototype tire shipments between plants and R&D locations. Setup new articles in systems, manage customer packaging requirements and capacity management tools.
Setup and maintain EDI transactions with customers to ensure seamless integration and operations.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Logistics.
Effective customer-centric communication and negotiation skills.
Experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Customer Service.
Strong understanding of logistics performance metrics and tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and PowerBI) and ERP systems (SAP, APO, etc.).
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced business environment.
Business proficiency in English and Spanish
