HR Specialist (Military)

Provides the full gamut of military personnel support services to the Soldiers assigned to agency.

Oversees the implementation of HR services programs to ensure level of services are consistent Army-wide.

Acts as a coordinator for the time keeping system.

Reviews award nominations and/or approvals for compliance with regulations and/or directives.

Screens and reviews personnel files, ensuring personnel have proper clearance and access to classified materials.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing guidance on Military HR programs that include strength management, personnel readiness, retention, replacement operations, casualty operations, awards, evaluations, separations, personnel actions, and/or mobilization plans/exercises; performing data analytics of logistics data contained within agency systems or programs; building reports in order to assess personnel strength, promotions, talent management, and/or to comply with readiness requirements; conducts surveillance activities on assigned contracts and/or contractors; and planning and/or developing the complete gamut of security programs for the organization.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
