Human Resources Specialist (NAF) - NF-04

Performs extensive technical and specialized work in the areas of staffing, pay administration and classification, training, labor-management relations, management employee relations.

Responsible for recruitment and placement, screening and rating applications, determining preference categories, creating and issuing referral lists and extending job offers.

Advises management and employees on complex personnel issues.

Monitors, directs, trains and oversees a team of lower graded human resources staff, when required.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Eighteen (18) months work experience in a human resources office demonstrating knowledge of at least two of the following functional human resources competencies: Staffing & Recruitment, Position Classification, Management Employee Relations or Training.

Experience analyzing, evaluating and recommending appropriated resolutions to complex interrelated Human Resources problems and/or issues. Possess experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to work with a variety of human resources information systems.

Related experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to no lower than the NF-04 pay band.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Applicants will possess twenty-four (24) months of prior work experience in a NAF Human Resources Office.
