As a your typical work assignments may include: Supporting leadership by gathering and analyzing data, preparing reports, and applying problem solving skills to identify and resolve issues.
Reviewing requests for personnel actions, ensuring the actions are appropriate, accurate, and complete, and that they are processed in a timely and effective manner. Providing administrative support in areas of budget monitoring and reporting, property management, and supply inventory and requisition.
Organizing travel arrangements, providing information on travel policies and processes, and coordinating training on travel guidelines as needed. Managing several aspects of records management for the organization, including maintaining a variety of spreadsheets and databases.

If you are qualifying based on education or if there are mandatory education requirements listed below, you MUST submit a copy of your college transcripts with your application. Applicants applying for the GS-09 must meet one of the following requirements: A.
Have at least one full year of specialized experience that is at least equivalent to work performed at the GS-07 grade level.
Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Contributing to the day-to-day operations of an office in areas related to human resources administration, budget execution, program coordination, and other core administrative functions; 2) Providing support to management and staff to ensure compliance with administrative policy and regulatory requirements; and 3) Utilizing automated information/data systems to collect data, gather information, and prepare reports.
B. Education: Have a Master's or equivalent graduate degree -or- two (2) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if related. OR C.
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.
Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Applicants applying for the GS-11 must meet one of the following requirements: A.
