Mid-Level Federal Acquisition Support Specialist – Remote

Cetechs is seeking experienced Federal acquisition professionals to support the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration, Regional Procurement Office – Central.

This is a full-time, primarily remote position providing cradle-to-grave Federal acquisition and contract support services. Occasional travel to the employee's nearest VA Medical Center may be required for onboarding, fingerprinting, PIV credentialing, Government equipment issuance, meetings, or other Government-directed requirements.

Position: Mid-Level Federal Acquisition Support Specialist

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday

Work Arrangement: Primarily Remote

Location: United States, Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico

Anticipated Start: Fall 2026

Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required

Responsibilities

The Mid-Level Federal Acquisition Support Specialist will support VA Contracting Officers, Contract Specialists, CORs, requiring activities, and other acquisition stakeholders throughout the Federal acquisition lifecycle.

Responsibilities may include

Provide cradle-to-grave Federal acquisition support.

Conduct acquisition planning and market research.

Assist with requirements development and procurement packages.

Draft solicitations, amendments, awards, and related acquisition documents.

Assist with development and review of Statements of Work and Performance Work Statements.

Prepare and analyze Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).

Conduct cost and price analysis and prepare price reasonableness recommendations.

Review acquisition packages for compliance with FAR, VAAR, VA policies, and applicable regulations.

Coordinate acquisition activities with Contracting Officers, Contract Specialists, CORs, technical personnel, and requiring activities.

Assist with pre-award and post-award contract administration.

Draft contract modifications, option notices, change orders, and supporting documentation.

Assist with contractor performance monitoring and QASP activities.

Prepare contract files for closeout.

Conduct research and analysis of Federal acquisition policies and regulations.

Maintain acquisition documentation and data in Government systems such as eCMS.

Prepare reports, correspondence, analyses, spreadsheets, and procurement documentation.

Education

Bachelor's degree in any field.

At least 24 semester hours in any combination of

Federal Acquisition Experience

Minimum of 3 years of recent Federal contracting/acquisition experience within the last 5 years .

Demonstrated experience supporting Federal pre-award and post-award acquisition activities.

Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

Knowledge of VAAR and/or other applicable Federal acquisition regulations and policies.

Experience conducting acquisition research, analysis, contract documentation, and procurement support.

Previous VA acquisition experience and VA eCMS experience are highly desirable.

Additional Requirements

Must be a U.S. citizen.

Must be able to successfully complete VA fingerprinting, background investigation, security, privacy, and access requirements.

Must be able to communicate effectively in English by telephone, email, and Microsoft Teams.

Must be able to work independently in a remote environment.

Must be available to work 40 hours per week.

Occasional travel to the nearest VA facility may be required for onboarding and credentialing.
