Assist with measuring/assessing of clinical business activities with an emphasis on improving clinical product line performance.
Collect and consolidate a large statistical database containing quantity and characteristics data for assigned work centers.
Coordinate with personnel at all levels in the implementation, modification and maintenance of information systems.
Utilize Military Health Systems to complete data entry, data extraction and report building.
Conduct research and analysis and assess impact of program and system changes.
Conduct audits/reconciliations at different levels of the Medical Expense and Reporting Performance System.
Serve as the first level supervisor responsible for assigning work, preparing schedules and preparing performance appraisals.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes establishing and maintaining a large statistical database for a medical treatment facility; assessing clinical business activities focusing on performance improvement; AND conducting data analysis to provide advisory services on areas such as healthcare costs, facility management and manpower.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position such as: Business Management.
OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.
Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hour (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
