As an Issues Management Analyst, you will: Research and prepare materials for briefings and presentations; develop related content and visuals; ensure timely responses to FMO, CDC/W, DHHS, and others; and maintains all response files.
Plan, lead, and complete special projects involving complex or evolving issues by researching, analyzing, and gathering information from multiple sources. Resolve unusual administrative or program challenges; develop reports and presentations; and manage cross-cutting initiatives or task forces to achieve program goals.
Develop and draft responses to controlled correspondence and organization-wide reports, ensuring timely, accurate, and policy-aligned communications for internal and external use to include Congressional, Executive and other Administration-level documents.
At the direction of senior leadership, develop new program initiatives and assesses issues that are critical to the program's mission.
Represent the Office at designated meetings and conferences; keep senior management informed of developments affecting existing or proposed programs and partnerships; and monitor emerging issues across CDC and partner organizations.
Provide analysis and synthesis to support responses to sensitive and complex Congressional and constituent inquiries, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and goals.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position.
To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: Managing key issues affecting organizational priorities. Supporting senior leadership on strategic initiatives.
Analyzing congressional, external relations, and policy developments to guide strategic decisions. Preparing executive materials on complex topics. Documenting experience: IN DESCRIBING YOUR EXPERIENCE, PLEASE BE CLEAR AND SPECIFIC. WE WILL NOT MAKE ASSUMPTIONS REGARDING YOUR EXPERIENCE. Qualifications are based on breadth/level of experience.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
