Conducts complex analytical studies that are of special interest to specific functional activities or programs. Plans and/or directs complex projects/programs requiring evaluation and identification of a variety of operational problems, evaluating alternative solutions and recommending appropriate action.

Reviews, evaluates and monitors the progress of program areas in accomplishing organization wide objectives by appraising performance, progress, program status and trends against approved objectives and program goals and schedules.

Provides leadership with assessments of stakeholder interests, organizational risks, and engagement opportunities to inform executive decision-making.

Prepares and/or conducts briefings for higher level management to explain the specific analysis of subject matter, as well as to provide recommendations or action plans and provide guidance and/or direction for implementation.

If you have volunteered your service through a National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, Americorps), we encourage you to apply and include this experience on your resume. The GS-13 salary range starts at $121,785 per year.

If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service.

Specialized Experience is : Monitoring and evaluating assigned programs and initiatives. Developing recommendations for activities, operating policies and/or procedures.
