Senior UX Designer - DTC
Leeds or London (In office 3 days/week)
About the role
SharkNinja is seeking a strategic, highly skilled Senior UX Designer to join our Global Digital Store Centre of Excellence. This role will be instrumental in shaping and delivering best-in-class user experiences across our global direct-to-consumer (DTC) websites.
As a Senior UX Designer, you will combine strategic UX thinking with hands-on design craft, leading the end-to-end experience from research and insight through user flows, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity UI. You will help define global UX principles while ensuring experiences are grounded in customer needs, business objectives and measurable performance.
You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Creative, Marketing, CRO, Analytics and regional DTC teams to bring the SharkNinja brand to life online, continuously improving experiences through research, experimentation and data.
This is an opportunity to help set the UX standard for a growing global ecommerce business while remaining close to the craft and measurable customer experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
UX Design & Delivery
Lead the end-to-end UX design process, from discovery and research through user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity UI and final engineering handoff.
Translate complex customer and business needs into intuitive, engaging and commercially effective digital experiences.
Create clear user journeys, interaction models and prototypes that communicate design intent to stakeholders and engineering teams.
Balance customer needs, brand expression, commercial objectives and technical constraints throughout the design process.
Deliver high-quality, responsive and mobile-first experiences across SharkNinja’s global DTC ecosystem.
Research & Customer Insight
Plan and conduct user research, usability testing, customer interviews and other qualitative research to uncover customer needs and experience friction.
Leverage quantitative and qualitative insight, including analytics, session replay, surveys and customer research, to inform design decisions.
Synthesise research into clear insights and actionable recommendations that influence product and experience direction.
Champion the voice of the customer across cross-functional teams and ensure customer needs remain central to decision-making.
Validate concepts and designs throughout the development process rather than relying solely on post-launch measurement.
CRO, Analytics & Experimentation
Partner closely with CRO and Analytics teams to identify customer friction, commercial opportunities and areas for experience improvement.
Develop UX solutions designed to improve conversion, engagement and customer satisfaction.
Support and contribute to A/B testing and experimentation programmes, using findings to validate hypotheses and continuously improve experiences.
Use quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate design performance and inform iteration.
Establish clear success measures for key experience initiatives and connect design decisions to measurable customer and commercial outcomes.
Global UX Standards & Design Systems
Contribute to defining the global UX vision, principles and roadmap for SharkNinja’s DTC experiences.
Establish and maintain UX best practices and processes that improve consistency, quality and efficiency.
Contribute to maintaining and evolving shared design systems, patterns, style guides and Figma libraries to support global scalability and adoption.
Act as a Figma expert, championing scalable component design and efficient collaborative workflows.
Run design reviews and critique sessions to continually raise the quality bar across digital experiences.
Accessibility & Inclusive Design
Champion accessibility and inclusive design throughout the end-to-end design process.
Ensure experiences and design-system components meet appropriate WCAG accessibility standards.
Consider accessibility across interaction design, visual design, content hierarchy, responsive behavior and component development.
Partner with Engineering to ensure accessibility requirements are maintained from design through implementation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product, Engineering, Creative, Marketing, Trading, CRO and Analytics teams to transform business objectives into seamless digital experiences.
Partner with Engineering throughout the design process to understand technical opportunities and constraints and ensure high-quality implementation.
Collaborate with regional DTC teams to understand local customer and commercial needs while maintaining global experience consistency.
Communicate design rationale clearly and confidently to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Build strong partnerships across disciplines and champion a collaborative, customer-centred design culture.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Intuitive, engaging and accessible customer experiences delivered consistently across SharkNinja’s global DTC ecosystem.
Measurable improvements in conversion, engagement and customer satisfaction driven by UX design.
Design decisions grounded in customer research, experimentation, analytics and data, not assumption.
A mature experimentation culture where UX hypotheses are tested, measured and continuously refined.
Strong collaboration between UX, Product and Engineering from discovery through implementation.
Consistent, scalable and accessible global design patterns and systems.
A demonstrable improvement in overall digital experience quality across markets.
ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS
5+ years of experience in UX or Product Design, ideally within a fast-paced ecommerce or DTC environment.
A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX design, from research and journey definition through wireframes, prototyping, UI and shipped digital experiences.
