About The Role

Canberra Grammar School is seeking an outstanding and inspiring Economics Teacher to join our dynamic and collaborative learning community.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to bring Economics to life, challenge students to think critically about the world around them, and inspire the next generation of globally minded thinkers. You will join a School that values intellectual curiosity, academic excellence, innovative teaching and the wellbeing of every student.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience teaching Economics within the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and the versatility to teach Individuals and Societies across Years 7–10.

You will be an engaging and reflective practitioner who enjoys working collaboratively, embraces contemporary teaching practices and is committed to helping every student achieve their potential, both within and beyond the classroom.

About You

You are an enthusiastic and accomplished educator who brings energy, expertise and genuine care to your teaching. You will demonstrate:

A passion for student learning and holistic development, both within and beyond the classroom

A record of delivering engaging, inclusive and high-quality teaching

Strong subject expertise in Economics

The ability to teach Individuals and Societies across a broad range of ages and abilities

A commitment to collaboration, professional learning and continuous improvement

Experience with, or a willingness to undertake training in, the International Baccalaureate Diploma and Middle Years Programmes, the Australian Curriculum and, where relevant, the Higher School Certificate

Enthusiasm for contributing to the School’s pastoral and co-curricular programs

Respect for and a willingness to support the School’s Anglican ethos

A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Appropriate qualifications

A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People registration

A current National Police Check
