SUMMARY: The Workfront Solution Architect / Strategic Process Consultant serves as a dedicated Subject Matter Expert (SME) focused on auditing, configuring, and optimizing our Adobe Workfront environment for the remainder of the year.
The responsibilities around intake architecture, template design, task ownership, governance, and overall system structure require a true Workfront solution architect and process consultant who can actively listen to stakeholder visions and translate them into technical system builds—rather than a traditional project manager or administrator.
The primary objective of this contract engagement is to partner with business leaders as they define new operational frameworks—translating vision into scalable Workfront structures.
This includes mapping intake queues, reusable templates, RACI matrices, Workfront Fusion/Jira automations, and Claude/AI enhancements, while architecting the system to accommodate future upstream expansion across brand planning, content creation, and campaign planning. PRIMARY DUTIES:
Consultative Architecture & Discovery: Listen directly to stakeholder process visions, ask probing operational questions, and translate business requirements into efficient, technical Workfront configurations.
Upstream Workflow Scalability: Design foundational Workfront structures (portfolios, custom forms, and metadata) tailored to support future upstream expansion into Brand Planning, Content Creation, and Campaign Planning.
Intake & Queue Architecture: Audit, redesign, and standardize request queues and custom forms to ensure incoming work across brand and campaign streams is accurately scoped, routed, and prioritized.
Template Building & Optimization: Build, test, and deploy high-functioning, reusable project templates complete with accurate predecessors, durations, and task dependencies.
Ownership & RACI Mapping: Establish and implement clear task-ownership frameworks and role assignments (e.g., RACI structures) across cross-functional marketing and technical teams.
Workfront Fusion & Jira Automations: Design, build, test, and maintain custom scenario integrations using Workfront Fusion to automate data flow and task sync between Workfront and Jira .
AI & Workflow Innovation: Identify, prototype, and implement opportunities to leverage Claude (via Fusion/APIs) within Workfront workflows to automate intake summaries, task generation, or operational documentation.
Enablement & Governance: Author comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and system governance standards, providing targeted enablement to end-users and team leads.
COMPETENCY
Consultative Problem-Solving: Exceptional active listening and analytical skills to convert high-level client business strategies into actionable Workfront architecture.
Workfront Architecture & SME: Deep technical expertise in configuring Workfront objects, custom forms, request queues, and enterprise template design.
Lifecycle Campaign Understanding: Working knowledge of upstream marketing operations, including brand strategy, campaign planning, and creative content creation lifecycles.
Workfront Fusion Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Workfront Fusion scenario architecture, API integration, data mapping, and custom webhooks.
System Integrations: Hands-on experience creating resilient multi-step automated workflows between Workfront and developer platforms like Jira.
AI/LLM Application: Familiarity with leveraging LLMs/AI models (specifically Claude) to optimize operational efficiency, automate intake processing, or auto-generate project insights.
Change Management: Strong communication skills to drive system adoption, establish governance, and guide teams through operational shifts.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing Operations, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience. EXPERIENCE:
4+ years of hands-on experience as a Workfront Solution Architect, Process Consultant, or Senior Systems Specialist.
Proven track record consulting with business stakeholders to translate high-level process concepts into operational Workfront solutions.
Experience structuring Workfront workflows for marketing operations, brand strategy, content creation, and multi-channel campaign planning.
3+ years of direct experience building automated scenarios in Workfront Fusion (or Adobe Fusion).
Demonstrated experience integrating Workfront with Jira via Fusion scenarios or APIs.
Experience applying AI solutions (e.g., Claude) to business workflows or process automation.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical configurations to non-technical stakeholders clearly. QUALIFICATIONS:
Adobe Workfront Core Certified Professional/Master status is strongly preferred.
Adobe Workfront Fusion Certification (or equivalent demonstrable scenario-building experience) highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience developing training materials, standard operating procedures, and workflow governance documents.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling. Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools (e.g., phone, video conferencing).
Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Professional administrative work performed in a standard office setting or remote home-office environment, relying heavily on video conferencing, collaboration software, and remote systems access.
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: Standard business operating hours; contract position estimated through the remainder of the calendar year (5–6 month engagement). TRAVEL: Minimal to none (100% remote or local hybrid, subject to project needs).
Below is the pay range of this position for considered candidates based on qualifications and experience.
