Recruitment Consultant - Social Care (UK Public Sector)

Salary: R25 000 - R30 000 per month

UK social care agency. Fully remote from South Africa, R25 000 to R30 000 a month. You will run a live local authority desk end to end.

UK recruitment experience is essential and non-negotiable. If your recruitment experience is South African market only, this role is not for you.

Role overview

Remote Recruitment is hiring on behalf of a UK recruitment agency that supplies qualified social care professionals into local authorities, councils and NHS trusts. Their vacancies release through public sector vendor portals, principally Matrix SCM and Adecco, and the agencies that submit compliant, screened candidates first are the ones that fill.

You will own that desk. Sourcing, screening, compliance, submitting through the portal and keeping placements alive. This is a specialist seat, not general resourcing. You already know what a Social Work England registration number is, and why a candidate without one is not submittable.

Key responsibilities

Work live public sector requirements as they release through Matrix SCM, Adecco and other vendor portals, and submit inside the response window

Source qualified social workers, team managers and registered managers through job boards, the internal database, referrals and direct approach

Screen properly against the requirement: registration, DBS status, right to work, references, availability and rate expectation

Prepare submissions that meet the portal compliance format first time, with nothing rejected for missing paperwork

Manage candidates through interview, offer and start, and stay in contact once they are placed

Keep the ATS accurate daily so pipeline and submissions are visible without anyone having to ask

What you will need

Non-negotiable: a minimum of three years recruiting for the UK market, agency side. Domestic South African recruitment experience on its own will not be considered

That UK experience gained in social care at a specialist agency such as Tripod Partners, Social Personnel, Sanctuary Personnel or Caritas Recruitment, or a direct equivalent

Experience submitting public sector vacancies through Matrix SCM and Adecco

Working knowledge of UK social care compliance: Social Work England registration, DBS, right to work and referencing

Evidence of delivery on a live desk with your own submission and fill numbers, plus availability 09:00 to 17:00 UK time, fibre, backup power and a quiet space

Nice to have

Locum and contract desk experience, including timesheets, rate negotiation and redeployment

Experience with both children's and adults' services

Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and a recruitment ATS or CRM

A full-time, long-term seat with a UK employer who knows this market. Permanent UK hours, 09:00 to 17:00 UK which is 11:00 to 19:00 South African time, and a live desk from day one.
