CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST (PC-MHI PROGRAM MANAGER)

Serve as a senior Primary Care–Mental Health Integration (PC-MHI) Program Manager responsible for the full lifecycle development, implementation, and evaluation of PC-MHI policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives.

Provide expert guidance to Defense Health Agency (DHA) leadership on all aspects of PC-MHI operations and ensure program alignment with DHA and Department of War priorities.

Lead continuous quality improvement efforts to strengthen clinical effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Provide clinical and procedural consultation to PC-MHI staff and Medical Treatment Facility leadership, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices, professional ethics, and DHA guidelines.

Oversee the execution, training, and clinical direction of Integrated Mental Health Consultant (IMHC) and Mental Health Care Facilitator (MHCF) roles across designated Defense Health Networks (DHNs).

Monitor data-driven outcomes, identify emerging needs, and establish program initiatives that enhance access, quality, and continuity of behavioral health services within primary care settings.

Basic Requirement Clinical Psychologist GS-0180-14: Degree: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. License: A current, active, and unrestricted license as a Psychologist in a state, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing a behavioral health program; developing clinical policies, guidelines, or standard operating procedures for psychological services; evaluating program outcomes and clinical data to drive healthcare quality improvement; and providing expert consultation to leadership.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
