Supv Counseling Psychologist (Substance Abuse)

Perform bio-psychological evaluations to determine level of alcohol/drug dependency.

Administer a multi-modality comprehensive rehabilitation treatment program to treat alcohol and/or drug abuse patients.

Monitor treatment accomplished by counselors to determine patients' progress

Recommend personnel management actions such as hiring, awards, and disciplinary actions to ensure efficient organizational management.

Develop standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with Joint Commission Standards.

Develop reports to address substance abuse program issues for management use and/or decision making.

Plan and schedule ongoing work to be accomplished by subordinates.

Basic Requirement for Supervisory Counseling Psychologist (Substance Abuse): Degree: Two full academic years of graduate study directly related to professional work in counseling psychology, or a master's degree directly related to counseling psychology.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience developing and administering a comprehensive, multi-modality substance abuse treatment program; AND directing strategic, regulatory, and financial clinical operations as well as planning work of subordinates; AND leading workforce optimization, compliance initiatives.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Licensure: The Supervisory Counseling Psychologist (Substance Abuse) position requires applicants to possess a current, active, valid, unrestricted counseling/psychologist license from a U.S.
