Position Purpose: Lead and coordinate large-scale, cross-functional enterprise transformation initiatives that require complex stakeholder alignment, execution management, and disciplined governance. These initiatives span multiple business functions, lines of business, and operational teams.

*** The Project Manager V/Program Manager is primarily remote with required flexibility to support stakeholders across time zones and travel as needed for key working sessions or business-critical meetings. ***

Responsibilities

Manage the full project life cycle, including review of various sources to assess requirements, creation of project plans and schedules, obtaining and managing resources, managing budget, and facilitating project execution, deployment, and closure.

Utilize corporate and industry standard project management tools and techniques to effectively manage projects. Establish and maintain corporate project management methodology and other department procedures.

Communicate project status to all stakeholders and external agencies.

Negotiate with project stakeholders to identify resources, resolve issues, and mitigate risks.

Coordinate cross-functional meetings with various functional areas to meet overall stakeholder expectations and company’s objectives.

Provide functional and technical knowledge across multiple business and technical areas.

Manage the creation of all project deliverables to ensure adherence to quality standards including design documents, test plans, training materials, and operations documentation.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience. 8+ years of project management experience with departmental specific projects.

Previous experience as a lead in a functional area, managing cross functional teams on large scale projects or supervisory experience including hiring, training, assigning work and managing the performance of staff. Proficient with MS-Office applications. Healthcare and managed care experience preferred.

Understanding of Agile methodology is preferred.Pay Range: $107,700.00 - $199,300.00 per year Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
