IT PROJECT MANAGER (CUSTSPT)

Oversees support functions and coordinating with teams and industry contractors to resolve end-user issues.

Manages the full lifecycle of IT projects for approximately 52,000 customers, including requirement capture, project planning, execution, and quality assurance.

Validates customer IT requirements, assisting with equipment procurement, and coordinating project cost capturing and billing.

Provides prioritized IT support for senior-ranking officials, special projects, and resolving difficult or complex local area network problems.

Serves as the Branch property hand receipt holder and utilizing the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) to inventory and manage government IT assets.

Customer Service-Developing and maintaining relationships with customers, anticipating and assessing the current and future information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products or services that are tailored to meet customer needs Oral Communication-Briefing senior-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of complex technical information to a non-technical audience Problem Solving-Identifying alternatives to address unique, highly complex, or sensitive information technology-related issues.

I have anticipated information technology-related problems and have identified and evaluated potential sources of information to generate alternative solutions. Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-12, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.

Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.

For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Supporting operations, managing the full life-cycle of IT projects, facilitating IT equipment and services procurement, cost capturing, billing, and maintaining accountability of government property; in addition to IT related experience demonstrating Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving as described in the vacancy announcement.

Program Management Advanced: The incumbent must obtain Acquisition certification in the Program Management Functional Area at the Practitioner Functional Tier within 60 months of entry into this position, in accordance with DoD Instruction 5000.66, Defense Acquisition Workforce Education, Training, Experience, and Career Development Program.

The incumbent must also achieve 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points(CLPs) every two years in accordance with the 4th Estate Director for Acquisition Career Management(DACM) Common Continuous Learning Cycle (unless prorated) from the time they are appointed to an Acquisition Workforce position, both while working toward and after obtaining the required certification
