SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER

As a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER at the GS-0340-15 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serves as the Assistant Director for DSCA and Director for DSCS and is responsible for all Agency matters relating to administrative control of all DoW personnel serving at U.S. embassies performing security assistance or security cooperation functions within Military Groups (MILGP.).

Leads the MILGP enterprise by maintaining executive level contacts within the DoW, Military Departments, Combatant Commands, Department of State, and other elements of the Executive Branch as it relates to the civilians and military personnel assigned to global MILGPs.

Provides authoritative advice, guidance and decisions on MILGP business practices, staffing levels at MILGPs and training requirements for the MILGP enterprise. Oversees the management of MILGP human, financial, and logistics resources to ensure that the MILGP enterprise is appropriately resourced to achieve national security priorities.

Develops and implements program management procedures and policies for the Agency's conduct of the Foreign Military Sales, Foreign Military Financing, and DoW-funded Building Partner Capacity programs as implemented by all MILGP offices at U.S. embassies.

You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A.

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service: Providing authoritative advice, guidance and decisions on MILGP business practices, staffing levels at MILGPs and training requirements for the MILGP enterprise; Executing the management of MILGP human, financial, and logistics resources to ensure that the MILGP enterprise is appropriately resourced to achieve national security priorities security cooperation objectives.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
