What this Job Entails

The Product Manager IV is responsible for leading all aspects of a product line including the coordination of activities across various departments. The Product Manager is charged with developing true empathy for the customers and creatively solving problems for them.

They will focus heavily on UX to ensure user engagement because they recognize it's critical to build products that users actually want to buy. They will prioritize product features and capabilities, represent the users needs, solve pain points and outlines a plan for achieving success.

Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors

Your Roles and Responsibilities

Partner with peers and stakeholders in the Electric Transmission organization to develop the strategic vision for assigned products and services

Play the role of Product Owner and Process Analysts for a key solution being implemented in support of both Large Load and Electric Transmission Generation programs

Understand industry trends, product positioning, key benefits, and target user groups, both internal and external

Collaborate closely with vendors, CAISO, internal and external stakeholders to influence future product capabilities and roadmaps

Research emerging technologies and market trends

Provide recommendations that align with the company's strategic goals, vision, and values

Evaluate products and services to ensure they meet business and technical requirements

Leads the development of strategies and the team's efforts

Mentors other team members

Define platform product functionality; responsible from scope through implementation, including the conceptualization, requirements gathering, design, and build.

Working with the technology leaders and teams, create an executable product strategy, complete with plans, timelines, milestones, and roadmaps.

Develop and provide product training to our sales channel and strategic customers.

Work directly with other teams, such as Sales and Marketing, to help ensure products are successful in the hands of clients/customers.

Required Qualifications/Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience, and 8+ years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

8+ years of relevant technical experience

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience supporting or managing the assigned products and/or services

Experience working within a utility, energy, communication, high tech, or aerospace company environment

Demonstrated in-depth technical expertise in assigned technology areas

Demonstrated experience in product design, build, test

Demonstrated experience working in regulatory or compliance environment

Demonstrated experience in product/process innovation to reduce cycle time

Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise

Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships and communications with external partners.

Experience with related best practices for approaching product development, including generally accepted product development process steps, requirements gathering and market intelligence gathering.

Outstanding judgment, analytical and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree (MS) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience

Recognized expertise within the IT industry related to assigned products or services

Experience leading product teams

Physical Demand & Work Environment

Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing

Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment

Must be able to use a computer

Must have the ability to communicate effectively

Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers

$132,240.00 - $208,800.00 USD (Salary)

Please note that the salary information provided herein is base pay only (gross); it does not include other forms of compensation which may or may not apply to this specific position, namely, performance-based bonuses, benefits-related payments, or other general incentives - none of which are guaranteed, may be subject to specific eligibility requirements, and are wholly within the discretion of Astreya to remit.

Further, the salary information noted above is a range that consists of a minimum and maximum rate of pay for this specific position. Where an applicant or employee is placed on this range will depend and be contingent on objective, documented work-related considerations like education, experience, certifications, licenses, preferred qualifications, among other factors.
