About Halter

At Halter, we’re on a mission to enable farmers and graziers to run the most productive and sustainable operations. Our customers are using Halter to break free from the time-intensive constraints of conventional practices. Imagine watching 500 cattle stand up and walk calmly towards their next break? No quad bikes, no dogs, no fences.

Just a group of cattle walking at their own pace. People say it looks like magic. Our customers are revolutionizing grazing with Halter. It's changing lives and transforming an industry. People join Halter to do meaningful work. By joining us you’ll be solving challenging problems within a talented team and a culture built for high performance.

Our team out-think, out-work and out-care. We’re committed to delivering real change in the world - this isn’t easy, and in truth, we love that it’s hard.

We’re backed to deliver on a mission that matters by Tier 1 investors including Founders Fund , Bessemer Venture Partners , BOND, DCVC , Blackbird , Promus Ventures , Rocket Lab’s Peter Beck and Icehouse ventures .

About the role

We're building Halter in Argentina/Uruguay from the ground up, while still deeply connected to our global offices and ways of working. Sales teams will be remote across both Argentina and Uruguay, and our other teams will be in the Buenos Aires office. And we’re a fast growing team.

You'll bring the vibes and be our boots on the ground for the day-to-day people operations that keep our Argentina and Uruguay teams running. Reporting to our Senior People & Performance Partner in Boulder, CO (US), you'll own the logistics, systems and cultural moments that hold a growing team together: IT and onboarding, the office, our local vehicle fleet, and the team moments people actually remember.

You won't be doing it alone. You'll partner closely with our People Operations & Programs team in New Zealand, fleet, people systems, compliance and health & safety, onboarding programs, and you'll be the local expert they depend on for anything Argentina/Uruguay.

We're creating this role because we're growing fast in a brand-new market, and this work can't wait. When a laptop doesn't get signed for or a vehicle handover slips, someone's first week is worse for it. You'll be the person who makes sure that doesn't happen.

This is a hands-on, varied role for someone early in their career or making a career pivot. We don't care whether you've done people operations before. We care that you excel at whatever you put your mind to, that might have looked like your studies, your sport, or something you built on your own time.

What Your Day Will Look Like

You're in early because it's a new starter's first day. Their desk is ready, their laptop is provisioned, their merch is sorted. You want to be the one who meets them at the door.

It's 9:40 and a vehicle handover has gone sideways, the depot window moved. You drop what you're doing and sort it, because a Territory Manager without a truck can't work.

You're partnering with the Global Vehicle Fleet lead in New Zealand, working on building a more scalable process.

You overhear the customer team saying they haven't had a proper team moment in weeks. You make a note and do something about it on Friday.

Executives are flying in from Auckland and Boulder next month for a fortnight. You make the whole visit feel effortless.

You hit something nobody has written a process for. You solve it, then write the process, for Argentina first, then Uruguay.

You spend a day out on farm with a Territory Manager, because you can't support work you've never seen.

In short: operational people threads, fleet, office, and creating genuinely good experiences for our Argentina and Uruguay teams. You'll be the ask-me-anything for everyone here.

Who are we looking for?

Someone who fills other people's cups. Introvert or extrovert genuinely doesn't matter to us — some of the best people on our team are each. What matters is that you give energy rather than take it, and that people want to follow you whatever your title says.

A mindset of unreasonable hospitality. You bring a customer-service instinct to how you treat colleagues.

Comfortable being uncomfortable. You'll do the job nobody wants to do because you can see it needs doing. High humility, no ego about the task.

Strong operationally, with proven ability to execute in fast-moving, ambiguous environments. Timing matters here — most of this work can't wait a week.

A systems thinker. You'll get fluent in our people systems fast and become the local expert others come to. You like building the process, not just working the queue.

High awareness and empathy. You read between the lines and put yourself in other people's shoes.

Excellent judgment and discretion. Thoughtful, high-integrity, trustworthy. People will tell you difficult things and you'll know what to do with them.

You don't need a People background. Our team has come from hospitality, retail, services, agency and design. Delivery and curiosity beat a linear HR CV.

You've grown wherever you've been — promoted, trusted with more, handed the hard thing. Or you've followed what you find genuinely interesting rather than climbing a ladder. Both are good signals to us.

Hungry and ambitious , with the horsepower to grow as the business does.

Fluent in Spanish and English. You'll be the bridge between the Argentine team and colleagues in New Zealand and the US.

Based in Buenos Aires and up for five days a week with the team. Our space is in Vicente López to start.

Genuinely interested in the work — land, livestock, and the people who farm it.

Where this could go

We're not hiring a coordinator forever. We're hiring the person who builds the foundation in Argentina, then helps us do it again in Uruguay and beyond. If you're good, this is one of the best seats in the company to grow from.

What this role isn't

Some of this work is physical, urgent and unglamorous. You'll sign for deliveries and stand in queues. Processes will break and you'll be the one who notices. There's no playbook yet, and for a while you'll be writing it while doing the job. If that sounds frustrating rather than exciting, this isn't the right role — and that's genuinely fine.

Our Office First Approach

Humans are wired for connection. Being office first is a core pillar of our culture because in-person connections drive your growth, learning, impact, and relationships. Strong relationships make it easier to disagree, give feedback, and do meaningful work together.

We're office first, not office only. Working from the office is our default, but we flex when needed. We have a high-trust culture where everyone is trusted to do what's best for Halter.

Our office vibe is special, the high energy and spectacular people make work enjoyable. Your growth and impact are unlimited here, coming from solving problems, innovating, and constantly learning from each other.

Join our team

Halter is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace — a place where we can each be ourselves and do the best work of our lives. Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the requirements, women and under-represented groups of candidates tend to only apply when they meet every requirement.

If you think you have what it takes but don’t necessarily tick every requirement on this job description, please still get in touch and apply to Halter. We’d love to chat to see if you’ll be an epic fit!
