Position Overview: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Work Type: Remote, 1099 Contractor Location: California, Format: Telemedicine and Onsite Locum Options Schedule: Flexible Compensation: Competitive hourly rates Classification: 1099 Independent Contractor (role-dependent) Responsibilities In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy, through secure telehealth platforms.
This position offers excellent flexibility, allowing you to maintain a work-life balance while delivering high-quality mental health care to a diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct virtual psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up visits via secure video platforms.
Provide psychotherapy, counseling, and mental health support as clinically appropriate.
Develop, implement, and adjust individualized patient care plans.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and the broader care team to ensure coordinated, whole-person care
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within 24 hours.
Stay current on best practices in psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and evidence-based mental health treatment.

Requirements (Qualifications)
Active ARNP licensure (PMHNP required) and current DEA certification
California state licensure required (or ability to obtain quickly)
Experience providing psychiatric care via telehealth preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic capability
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Reliable high-speed internet connection
Organized, self-directed, and timely with documentation
