Your contribution to something big

As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will support the development and industrialization of mechanical components for Bosch eBike Systems Connected Devices, such as display units and remote units. You'll gain hands-on experience in the product lifecycle, from concept to mass production.

Collaborate with our engineering team to design, validate, and test mechanical parts and assemblies, ensuring they meet design and reliability standards.

Participate in the requirements analysis process, leveraging insights from past projects to help ensure that product designs fulfil process needs. You will gain knowledge on various mechanical processes, materials, and technologies.

Plan and execute validation tests on prototypes, in our mechanical lab. In addition, you'll assist in the conduction of the tests and document the results.

Learn and apply Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles, participating in design reviews and helping to ensure a smooth and efficient transition from prototype to mass production.

Work within a multidisciplinary and international project team, engaging with various departments and external partners.

Education

Currently pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field. A specialization in Design or Manufacturing is a plus.

Experience

A strong passion for mechanical design, product development, and manufacturing processes.

Initial experience with CAD software (like Creo or SolidWorks) from your studies or personal projects is highly valued.

Know-how

Basic understanding or eagerness to learn about materials (e.g., plastics, metals) and manufacturing technologies (e.g., injection molding, assembly processes).

Basic understanding or interest in product validation and reliability testing.

Languages

Good communication skills in English (both spoken and written).

Working Style and Methods

You'll be paired with a dedicated on-site buddy for daily guidance and senior technical experts for mentorship.

Curious, detailed and with a hands-on mindset.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team and to manage assigned tasks with autonomy.

Duration: 12 months
