Key Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should possess strong mechanical skills and ideally have a background in food manufacturing, FMCG. The ability to think ahead and outside the box is crucial due to the high-pressure environment of food processing. Machining skills would be advantageous. While welding skills are a plus, they are not essential.

It is important for candidates to have experience with the disassembly, reassembly, and servicing of gearboxes, as well as diagnosing pneumatic and hydraulic systems. We are open to considering heavy vehicle or HD fitters, provided they have the core mechanical skills required.

Top Priorities in the First Six Months

In the first six months, the priorities for the fitters will be mastering the disassembly and assembly of pumps, diagnosing and resolving issues with pneumatics and hydraulics, and effectively servicing and overhauling gearboxes. Success in these areas will be critical to minimizing downtime and maintaining production efficiency.
