As a IT Specialist, PT- 2210- 4, your typical work assignments may include the following: Designs, installs, maintains, and supports the organization's systems, applications and networks including analyzing system requirements and ensuring that systems will be securely integrated into the GAO environment.
Develops and maintains transition plans, roadmaps, and other documentation for system/initiative changes from current to target architectures.
Leverages Agile and SAFe practices to lead documentation and prioritization of system requirements, development of system designs, development of transition/sequencing plans, development and execution of detailed quality assurance plans, and development of system security plans and privacy impact assessments.
Coordinates and collaborates across the organization in areas that include integrated assessment, service design, change management, transition readiness, quality assurance, operational readiness, and customer support processes.
Defines and monitors achievement of performance measures by developing outcome-oriented performance measures to assess the impact of implemented process and system improvements. Develops and presents business cases and participates in technical design sessions and working groups as part of GAO and ISTS IT governance and IT investment processes.
You may qualify at the PT - 4 band level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
AND Specialized Experience: In addition to the competencies above, applicants at the PT - 4 position must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower band MS-I, PT-III; CS-III; PE-IIB, or GS-14 grade level (or equivalent) in the Federal Service, which has equipped the applicant with the skills and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Specialized experience is defined as: planning and executing all phases of IT Cloud, infrastructure, or an application utilizing agile and traditional methodologies. Developing system designs for an office. Developing system security plans to execute quality assurance plans and privacy impact assessments.
