As a Supervisory IT Specialist (Policy and Planning) some of your typical work assignments include: Leading the development and implementation of IT strategies, policies, plans, and programs that support organizational goals and priorities. Overseeing IT resources and operations, including budget, acquisition, contracts, and performance management.

Providing senior-level leadership and advice on IT programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with applicable Federal requirements and organizational priorities. Supervising a staff of professional personnel with diverse technical backgrounds.

Specialized experience is defined as: Leading and managing IT financial budgets, managing IT acquisitions from small to large scale complex contracts, and providing advice and recommendations to senior leadership on IT matters.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including any volunteer experience.
