The United States Space Force (USSF) at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA is searching for a Human Resources Specialist to support S1CT (NH-0201-03, GS-12/13 equivalent).
Description: Shape the Future of the Space Force Civilian Workforce: As an HR Business Partner specializing in Outreach and Talent Pipelines, you will serve as the principal advisor and program architect driving civilian force renewal across the U.S. Space Force (USSF).
Operating at the nexus of strategic human capital and cutting-edge space missions, you will expand high-impact DAF and DOW enterprise talent pipelines-including Premier College Internships (PCIP), Palace Acquire (PAQ), Defense Civilian Training Corps (DCTC), SMART Scholarships, and specialized fellowships (such as NobleReach and CyberCorps).
You have expert knowledge in the use of Direct Hire Authorities (DHAs) and federal human capital staffing and recruitment regulations to aggressively source, attract, and onboard top-tier STEM, cyber, and acquisition talent, delivering innovative staffing solutions directly aligned with Chief of Space Operations (CSO) priorities.
Drive Strategic Partnerships & Enterprise Outreach: You will build and negotiate strategic alliances across academia, industry, and interagency partners, establishing vital Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) to fuel the USSF talent ecosystem. You will evaluate conversion metrics to optimize pipeline effectiveness.
Whether authoring policies and business processes or championing Guardian civilian careers across various forums, you will be the catalyst transforming strategic workforce vision into mission-ready operational capability.
Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate is a seasoned federal HR professional with a proven track record of managing and innovating complex civilian talent pipeline programs, such as those internal to the Department of Airforce, Department of War, the Office of Personnel Management, and across external organizations.
This individual is a strategic thinker and skilled networker, capable of building robust partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders to attract top-tier STEM and acquisition talent.
They possess mastery of federal HR laws and regulations and excel at advising senior leadership, translating strategic workforce goals into actionable recruitment campaigns that directly shape the future of the U.S. Space Force's civilian workforce.
