Kitchen Porter

We are seeking a reliable and organised Kitchen Porter to join our team in Northwood, United Kingdom. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organisation, and smooth operation of our kitchen.

Working in a fast-paced environment, you will support our kitchen team by ensuring all equipment, utensils, and surfaces are maintained to the highest standards of hygiene and food safety. The successful candidate will be efficient, professional, and committed to supporting the culinary team in delivering excellent service.

Wash, clean, and sanitise all kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, and glassware in accordance with food safety standards

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including floors, work surfaces, and storage areas
• Dispose of waste and recyclable materials appropriately and safely

Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team, including peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients

• Load and operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently and safely

Stock and organise kitchen supplies, ensuring adequate inventory levels are maintained

• Support the kitchen team during service periods, responding promptly to requests
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards at all times
• Report any equipment faults or maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor
• Maintain personal hygiene standards and wear appropriate protective clothing

Proven experience working in a kitchen or hospitality environment (desirable)

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, demanding environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Excellent time keeping and reliability
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a supportive team
• Good communication and people skills
• comfortable using commercial kitchen equipment
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays (where applicable)
