SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

You will serve as the senior liaison for budget, accounting, or financial management policy and procedures within the organization.

You will direct and/or perform continuing program execution review, analysis and appraisal of the major operating and support programs within the organization.

You will prepare briefs for senior managers on program execution and provide recommendations to correct program variances or problem areas.

You will provide interpretive and analytical advice on financial transactions and program execution; develop format and content to provide managers with various listing, reports, and data relative to status of funds and the propriety of obligations.

You will ensure the financial integrity, timeliness, accuracy and validity of supporting managerial accounting, budget execution, and financial management reports.

You will coordinate the development and reporting of cost/performance information in support of mission tasks for the organization.

You will promulgate approved financial management policies within the organization based on DON policy and develops and issues implementing procedures and ensures compliance with internal controls.

You will prepare or reviews responses to reviews or audits, which involve financial management policy and procedure.

You will conduct management evaluation of issues of financial consequence raised in audit reports, budget reviews, etc. and recommends alternatives for corrective action.

You will set priorities and schedule work as necessary to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment of priority work without adverse affect on regular and recurring work

You will assign work to subordinates based on employee's capabilities, priorities and difficulty, develop performance standards and evaluate employee performance, and provide technical and administrative oversight, advice and instruction.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing an organization's financial and manpower resources in strict accordance with fiscal laws and regulations; analyzing, interpreting, and reconciling complex financial data and budget proposals to resolve discrepancies, identify trends, and ensure sound planning for both current and future operations; directing a staff in the use of specialized federal Department of the Navy accounting and financial systems to manage the end-to-end "Procure-to-Pay" process, budget tracking, transaction execution/validation, audit compliance, and manage reporting across budget formulation, travel, and timekeeping.
