M&A Research & Data Analyst - Vesta Software Group UK

(Hungary), Dataflow Events & MWC Partners (UK), and Amisoft (Latin America).
As an M&A Research & Data Analyst , you will play a vital role in identifying and evaluating acquisition opportunities, conducting in-depth market research, and supporting the overall M&A process. This position offers a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in software acquisitions, working closely with industry experts.
Primary Responsibilities (80%+)
Acquisition Target Analysis: Evaluate potential acquisition targets using our investment criteria.
Carve-Out Identification: Assess corporations to identify viable carve-out opportunities.
Big Data Management: Maintain and oversee data integrity within our CRM, ensuring accuracy of KPIs and dashboards.
Market Research: Conduct detailed market analysis on new verticals and geographies to support expansion efforts.
M&A Advisor Mapping: Identify and map relevant software M&A advisors, from global firms to boutique consultancies.
Data Source Evaluation: Research and assess third-party data sources, industry lists, and trade conferences.
Secondary Responsibilities (Less than 20%)
Transaction Support: Assist in due diligence processes, including market analysis, contract review, and competitor research.
Ad Hoc Research Projects: Support Business Development Executives and Group Leaders with specialized research initiatives.
Required
Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Finance, or Engineering.
Fluency in English and German .
Preferred Attributes
Strong analytical mindset and intellectual curiosity.
Interest in the software and technology sectors.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manipulate data from multiple sources.
Solid understanding of research methodologies and M&A origination processes.
