Job Title: Senior Pricing & Data Analyst
About the Client: A leading organization in the beauty and aesthetics industry, providing professional services, products, and solutions to businesses and consumers across the U.S.
Overview: We are seeking a Senior Pricing & Data Analyst to partner directly with the CFO on a high-priority strategic initiative focused on simplifying and improving a highly complex pricing structure.
The initial project involves analyzing approximately 560,000 individual prices across approximately 9,000 SKUs.
This is not a traditional financial analysis or accounting role. The primary challenge is analytical: understanding a very large and complex pricing dataset, identifying the patterns and logic behind it, separating meaningful commercial differences from unnecessary complexity and historical exceptions, and developing a clearer and more manageable pricing structure.
The ideal candidate is someone who can take a large, messy dataset, impose structure on it, identify what matters, ask the right business questions, and translate the analysis into clear recommendations for executive leadership.
This role is well suited for someone with a background in pricing analytics, commercial analytics, business intelligence, operations analytics, strategy, consulting, or another highly analytical field.
Responsibilities
Analyze approximately 560,000 pricing records across approximately 9,000 SKUs to understand the current pricing structure and identify opportunities for simplification.
Identify pricing trends, patterns, inconsistencies, anomalies, outliers, duplicate logic, and unnecessary complexity.
Determine which pricing differences are commercially justified and which may be historical, redundant, or no longer necessary.
Develop logical categorization and segmentation frameworks across products, customers, channels, pricing groups, or other relevant dimensions.
Form and test hypotheses to understand why pricing varies and whether those differences continue to make business sense.
Recommend opportunities to simplify, standardize, consolidate, or redesign pricing structures while preserving important commercial distinctions.
Transform large and complex datasets into clear business insights and actionable recommendations.
Build analytical models, tools, dashboards, or datasets to support pricing analysis and ongoing decision-making.
Partner directly with the CFO on strategic pricing and commercial decisions.
Present findings clearly and concisely to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
Work cross-functionally with relevant teams to validate assumptions, understand business rules, and support implementation of recommendations.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the analysis process.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related analytical field.
5+ years of experience in data analysis, business analytics, commercial analytics, pricing analysis, business intelligence, operations analytics, strategy, consulting, or a similar analytical role.

Strong commercial judgment and ability to understand the business implications of analytical findings.
Ability to communicate complex analysis clearly to executive leadership.
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision on a high-impact project.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in pricing analytics, commercial analytics, revenue optimization, or pricing strategy.
Experience simplifying, redesigning, or standardizing complex pricing structures or commercial frameworks.
Experience working with product-level, SKU-level, customer-level, or transactional datasets.
Experience using SQL to query, manipulate, or analyze large datasets.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Python, or similar analytical tools .
Background in consulting, strategy, business intelligence, operations analytics, or commercial analysis.
Experience working directly with CFOs or other C-suite executives.

What Success Looks Like
The successful candidate will be able to take a highly complex pricing environment and progressively make it understandable, structured, and manageable.
The objective is not simply to analyze the existing data. The objective is to help the business answer questions such as:
Why do we have so many different prices?
Which differences are intentional and commercially necessary?
Which differences are legacy exceptions or unnecessary complexity?
Where can pricing be consolidated or standardized?
How can the business create a simpler pricing framework that is easier to manage and make decisions from?
The end result should be a clearer pricing architecture, better visibility into how pricing decisions are made, and practical recommendations that management can act on.
