As a Program Analyst your typical work assignments may include: Performs a wide variety of analysis and evaluation functions, such as cost-benefit analysis, return on investment analysis, program effectiveness and efficiency analysis, productivity or workload analysis, and performance analysis, among others.
Supports leadership on sensitive, high-level tasks, such as annual performance evaluations, Division selections of senior Special Agents, and coordination with Headquarters to fill critical vacancies within the Division. Acts as a lead for justifying and coordinating resources in support of Division initiatives.
Influences policy changes that typically involve long-range, highly complex, and often politically sensitive topics.

Applicants applying for the GS-14 must meet one of the following requirements: Have at least one full year of specialized experience that is at least equivalent to work performed at the GS-13 grade level.
Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting or managing studies of operation programs, policies and procedures related to an organization's workforce; 2) Performing analysis of large qualitative and quantitative data sets; 3) Recommending and/or implementing action plans to improve program performance; 4) Developing statistics, policies, procedures, and guidelines applicable to operational programs; 5) Overseeing programs to ensure that funds, property, and other assets are safeguarded; and, 6) Coordinate special projects with other agency field divisions, Headquarters, and/or other interagency partners.
