IT Business analyst - Compliance & Regulatory Technology

Location: NYC (Hybrid – at least 3 days onsite/week)

We are seeking a talented IT Business Analyst to support our client's Compliance Department on a strategic regulatory technology implementation initiative. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering compliance, risk, or regulatory change projects within financial services , with strong expertise in business analysis, process mapping, testing, and stakeholder management across business, technology, and third-party vendor teams.

Role and responsibilities

Partner with Compliance, IT, and business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business, functional, and technical requirements.

Support the implementation of a regulatory technology (RegTech) solution, including configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live activities.

Conduct gap analyses and map current-state and future-state processes to improve regulatory and compliance workflows.

Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case creation, execution, defect tracking, and validation of delivered solutions.

Support data migration and integration activities, including data mapping, validation, and reconciliation with internal systems.

Collaborate with internal governance teams, Head Office stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure timely delivery and regulatory compliance.

5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst within financial services.

Strong experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, and business process improvement.

Hands-on experience supporting SaaS or enterprise software implementation projects.

Experience coordinating UAT activities and managing testing deliverables.

Familiarity with data integration, data migration, user access management, and software delivery lifecycles.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience working in regulated environments with governance, risk, and compliance requirements.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Compliance, GRC, RegTech, or Regulatory Reporting platforms.

Understanding of regulatory inventory, obligation management, and compliance risk management processes.

Experience supporting API and system integration projects.

Fluency in French is a plus.
