The posting
You will oversee and manage the execution of the digital transformation division optimizing digital solutions to enhance operational efficiency, service delivery, and employee engagement.
You will exercise both administrative and technical supervision over subordinates performing transformation improvement work.
You will determine availability of manpower, resources, contracting, funding, program requirements, and other support functions essential to the accomplishment of the Transformation Office mission.
You will conduct thorough assessments of current business processes, systems, and capabilities to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
You will identify and mitigate projects’ risks and issues, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to project delivery.
You will hold discussions and meetings with key program members as necessary to obtain pertinent details of program assigned.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying principles, theories, and methodologies of management and program analysis directing complex digital transformation and technology insertion initiatives within a public shipyard environment.
Experience formulating objectives, establishing priorities, and implementing long-range plans consistent with the long-term interests of the organization.
Experience identifying, analyzing, and improving business processes to meet transformation goals, applying advanced process improvement techniques (such as metric/statistical analysis, process management, strategic planning, and benchmarking) to successfully execute digital insertions that increase performance, reduce costs, and accelerate project schedules.
Experience building, empowering, and guiding a high-performing, multi-sector workforce, exercising delegated managerial authority to direct subordinate supervisors and project managers Experience developing networks and collaborating across organizational boundaries to forge strategic relationships, aligning transformation projects with corporate entities and achieving common modernization goals across the shipyard.
Experience conveying highly complex, technical, or controversial information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for senior leadership.
Experience articulating, presenting, and promoting varied ideas and issues, including highly sensitive or controversial topics to a wide range of audiences, including making clear and convincing oral presentations to high-level government and industry partners, senior shipyard leadership, Admirals, and SES members.
