The Role

We are seeking a Senior Architect or Intern with project management experience, a high level of design and technical ability, and a passion for design excellence and environmental sustainability. This is a full-time, in-person role for someone who thrives in small to medium-sized practice settings, is eager to contribute to the culture and growth of our studio, and open to occasional travel opportunities, including projects in Europe.

What You’ll Do

• Lead projects from concept to construction with a focus on design quality and technical excellence
• Oversee project scheduling, budgets, and resources while mentoring junior staff
• Produce drawings at all stages, including 3D modeling, and review construction on site
• Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, vendors, suppliers, and contractors
• Take initiative on multiple projects at varying scales and stages

What You’ll Bring

• 8+ years post-graduate experience (Master’s degree), including at least 2 years in a PM role
• Strong design skills, superior attention to detail in all aspects of work
• Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of building systems and technology
• Experience producing and coordinating construction drawings & details
• Experience doing construction site reviews
• Ability to supervise multiple projects and manage project scheduling
• Solid knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (Part 3 & 9)
• Experience managing various Approvals processes with Authorities Having Jurisdiction
• High level proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
• Experience & proficiency working in Revit is an asset
• PassiveHouse experience and/or LEED or WELL accreditation an asset
• Self-motivated, accountable, and passionate about contributing to the studio’s culture and work.
