## Job Description ##

EMEA Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a private equity-backed, global group. We are seeking a hands-on Accountant to join a lean corporate finance team in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

This is a great opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day financial accounting processes across key entities.

In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate general ledger management, supporting month-end and year-end closing cycles, and ensuring compliance under both Swiss GAAP and US GAAP.

This role will be predominantly office-based, and you will need to work collaboratively with your colleagues, local finance teams, and external partners.

Given the regular interaction with regional business entities and stakeholders, **fluency in German is essential**.

The role will suit someone who brings energy, solid multi-GAAP accounting knowledge, a detail-oriented approach, and a passion to actively participate in a close-knit team.

**Key Responsibilities of the Accountant:**

* Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes in compliance with Swiss GAAP and US GAAP

* Assist with local statutory accounting and help perform reconciliations between local Swiss statutory requirements and US GAAP group reporting

* Maintain day-to-day general ledger accounts, including fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany reconciliations

* Assist in the preparation of local financial documentation and liaise with external auditors during routine audit activities

* Collaborate closely with local finance colleagues and the wider group team to ensure consistent accounting practices

* Provide support on ad-hoc accounting tasks and process improvement initiatives within the team

**Required Skills & Experience:**

* Bachelor-s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting (or equivalent relevant professional education)

* Practical experience in general ledger accounting, ideally within an international business environment

* Hands-on experience or sound working knowledge of both Swiss GAAP and US GAAP accounting standards

* Fluency in German and professional-level English language skills are essential

* Experience working with ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar)

* Strong team player with a "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude, good attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving

EMEA Recruitment is committed to promoting Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in the workplace. We act as a neutral third party in the recruitment process, basing our candidate searches strictly on skills and experience. We welcome all applications regardless of age, gender, sex, relationship status, disability, race, religion/beliefs, or sexual orientation.
