Bartender

Job Summary

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests while ensuring excellent service, product quality and a clean and well-organised bar area.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.

Provide friendly and professional service to guests.

Ensure drinks are prepared consistently and presented according to hotel standards.

Take beverage orders accurately and attend to guest requests.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and service areas.

Ensure sufficient mise en place, garnishes, glassware and bar supplies are available.

Monitor beverage stock and assist with inventory and stock-taking.

Follow proper procedures for opening and closing the bar.

Handle cash and billing transactions accurately when required.

Minimise wastage and breakage and ensure proper portion control.

Comply with food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards.

Maintain good knowledge of the beverage menu and assist guests with recommendations.

Support the team during events, functions and busy service periods.

Ensure compliance with hotel and Accor standards, policies and procedures.

Requirements

Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Bartender in a hotel, restaurant or bar.

Knowledge of cocktails, beverages and basic bartending techniques.

Good customer service and communication skills.

Positive, friendly and service-oriented attitude.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Good team player with a willingness to learn.

Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Open to Malaysian candidates only; preferably local Sarawakian.
