Who We Are: At Hunt St , we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is: A specialist agency focused on improving website performance for e-commerce brands by enhancing user experience and increasing conversion rates. They partner with teams to deliver site audits, data-driven redesigns, and strategic growth support aimed at turning existing traffic into revenue.

Role Overview: We are looking for a highly experienced Senior E-commerce UX/UI Designer to help create and optimise high-performing digital experiences for direct-to-consumer brands.

This role is suited to someone who has worked with established global agencies or leading e-commerce brands and can confidently take a project from early strategy through to a complete, development-ready design.

You will work across full website redesigns, new site builds, landing pages, conversion optimisation projects and ongoing website improvements.

Some projects will begin with an established brand and clear guidelines, while others may involve taking limited brand information and turning it into a practical digital design system that can scale across an entire website.

The ideal candidate combines strong visual design skills with commercial thinking, UX strategy and a deep understanding of how customers shop online. Key Responsibilities: Full Website Design

Design complete e-commerce experiences from the ground up, including homepages, collection pages, product pages, cart experiences, navigation, search and supporting content pages.

Translate brand positioning, customer insights and business goals into clear, engaging digital experiences.

Create scalable design systems that can be used consistently across templates, sections and future pages.

Design with development feasibility, responsiveness and Shopify implementation in mind.

Produce detailed, development-ready designs that minimise ambiguity during the build process.

UX and Conversion Strategy

Understand the full customer journey, from discovery and consideration through to purchase and retention.

Identify the questions, concerns and barriers customers may experience throughout the buying journey.

Structure pages and content to improve clarity, trust, product understanding and conversion.

Balance brand storytelling with usability and commercial performance.

Design for a wide variety of products, customer types and purchase journeys.

Contribute to CRO strategy and help prioritise improvements based on expected customer and business impact.

Landing Pages and Campaign Design

Design high-converting landing pages for campaigns, product launches, paid traffic and specific customer segments.

Adapt page structure and messaging based on traffic source, customer awareness and campaign goals.

Work across different landing page formats, including long-form sales pages, advertorials, listicles and product-focused pages.

Develop page concepts quickly when timelines require it, without compromising attention to detail.

Website Optimisation and Audits

Review existing websites and identify opportunities to improve usability, clarity, merchandising and conversion.

Conduct structured UX and CRO audits across desktop and mobile experiences.

Turn findings into clear, practical design improvements.

Work on both new website projects and ongoing optimisation programs.

Figma and Collaboration

Work confidently and efficiently in Figma.

Build organised files, components, libraries, variables and reusable design patterns.

Clearly document interactions, responsive behaviour and implementation requirements.

Lead designs through internal and client feedback rounds.

Iterate quickly while maintaining consistency across the broader experience.

Collaborate closely with strategists, project leads, developers and clients.

Communicate the reasoning behind design decisions clearly and constructively.

Review implemented work and support design QA before launch.

Requirements Required Skills and Qualifications

3+ years of significant professional experience designing e-commerce websites and digital shopping experiences.

A strong portfolio demonstrating full website designs, not only individual screens or isolated concepts.

Proven experience designing a website from initial concept through to a complete, development-ready system.

Experience working with direct-to-consumer brands across a range of product categories.

Experience working within a respected agency, global agency or similarly high-standard design environment.

Advanced Figma skills and strong experience creating scalable design systems.

A strong understanding of responsive design and mobile-first customer behaviour.

Experience designing landing pages across different products, audiences and campaign objectives.

Awareness and an understanding of how design influences conversion, average order value and customer confidence.

Excellent attention to detail across typography, spacing, hierarchy, consistency and interaction design.

The ability to move quickly when needed while knowing when a project requires deeper research and consideration.

Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.

The ability to work independently, manage priorities and take ownership of design outcomes.

Highly Regarded

Experience with Shopify and an understanding of Shopify themes, templates, sections and platform constraints.

Experience working with CRO programs or experimentation teams.

Experience using heatmaps and session recording tools such as Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar or Mouseflow.

Experience conducting UX, CRO or heuristic website audits.

Experience supporting developers through implementation and completing detailed design QA.

AI-Assisted Design and Creative Workflows

Use AI to accelerate the early stages of a project without allowing it to replace strategic thinking, design judgement or attention to detail.

Bring all concepts back into a structured, professional Figma workflow using established design principles, reusable components and clear design systems.

Understand when AI can improve speed or expand creative possibilities, and when traditional research, design craft and human judgement are required.

Use AI tools responsibly, with appropriate consideration for brand consistency, accuracy, copyright and the quality of the final customer experience.

How You Work

You are equally comfortable creating a new experience from a blank canvas and improving an established website using customer and performance data.

You can work at pace when a project requires momentum, but you do not rush important strategic decisions. You know when to explore, when to simplify and when to move into execution.
