Interdisciplinary Community Planner/Historian/Archaeologist/Landscape Architect

You will provide technical leadership and expertise in Cultural Resources management.

You will prepare or manage the preparation of documents and special studies, interpreting laws and regulations to allow for successful project execution.

You will coordinate and consult with stakeholders, including federal, state, and local agencies, historic preservation organizations, and the public regarding project effects.

You will have primary responsibility for technical and programmatic aspect of matters pertaining to cultural resources and consultation for SIOP projects to ensure program objectives and schedules are met.

You will oversee a broad range of cultural resources services undertaken to ensure compliance with Section 106 and Section 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA).

Selective Placement Factor (SPF): If applying as a Landscape Architect (0807 series), you must have a current registration as a Professional Landscape Architect from any state, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico. You must provide a copy of this registration with your application.

In addition to the SPF and Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector most or all the following experience: 1) Providing technical support and guidance to stakeholders with regards to cultural resources protection and preservation; 2) Advising installations on proposed actions/federal undertakings that affect cultural resources to ensure compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA); 3) Assessing project impacts on historic properties (e.g. acquisition, preservation, restoration, reconstruction) in accordance with Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties; and 4) Coordinating project plans with Tribal, Native, and/or Historic Preservation Organizations.
