Primary French Teacher

• Job start: 1 January 2027

• Location: Basel, Switzerland

• Contract type: Full-time

• Contract term: Indefinite

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified French teacher to start on 1 January 2027. Must haves:

• The right to work in Switzerland (Swiss and EU nationals and current permit holders)

• Fluent in French (native or C2)

• Fluent in English

➤ Candidates with a Swiss primary teaching diploma or a foreign diploma accredited by the Swiss authorities are particularly encouraged to apply.

If you are a qualified primary school French teacher, and have at least two years’ experience of classroom teaching in an international setting, please submit the following to the Primary Principal at jobs@ela-basel.ch:

• ELABasel application form (CVs can be submitted but the form must be completed)

• PDF copies of appropriate qualifications and certifications

• PDF copies of your passport and permit showing your right to work in Switzerland
