Computer Systems Engineer

The Computer Systems Engineer administers and supports CBO's enterprise IT infrastructure, including AWS cloud services, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), and related technologies.

Responsibilities include maintaining and optimizing enterprise systems, performing system administration, patching, testing, troubleshooting, conducting backup and recovery activities, resolving complex technical issues, and otherwise supporting the agency's IT infrastructure and operational needs.

Required Qualifications: Candidates must have experience with and a good working knowledge of the following: AWS cloud infrastructure, including experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud environments; Windows Server administration; Microsoft 365 administration; Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory); Active Directory; PowerShell; Unix/Linux systems; and Enterprise networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and VPN technologies).

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with one or more of the following is desirable: Hyper-V or comparable enterprise virtualization platforms; Microsoft SQL server; Python or other scripting languages; Enterprise backup and disaster recovery platforms, such as Commvault Metallic or equivalent technologies; and AI (artificial intelligence) tools and large language model platforms to improve IT operations and productivity.

Candidates must have, or be able to obtain, a favorably adjudicated Public Trust (Tier 2) Investigation, which includes a credit check.
