Lab IT Migration Specialist (m/f/d) \- Windows 11

For our renowned pharmaceutical client based in Basel, we are looking for an experienced Lab IT Migration Specialist (m/f/d) to support a large\-scale Windows 11 migration program within Biomedical Research laboratory environments.

In this role, you will be responsible for the migration of laboratory computer systems to Windows 11 IoT LTSC Enterprise, ensuring data integrity, hardware compatibility, compliance, and minimal disruption to scientific operations.

Your Responsibilities

Execute Windows 11 migrations for laboratory computer systems, including hardware refresh activities

Perform data backup, migration of user profiles and configurations, and post\-migration validation

Install and configure scientific software applications and laboratory systems

Coordinate migration activities with laboratory users, scientific stakeholders, Lab IT teams, and external vendors

Support migration readiness assessments, planning activities, and scheduling

Collaborate with internal IT teams regarding endpoint management, security, and infrastructure\-related requirements

Provide post\-migration support (hypercare) and resolve technical issues

Maintain accurate migration documentation, asset tracking, and status reporting

Ensure compliance with IT security, operational standards, and project processes throughout the migration lifecycle

Your Profile

Proven experience with Windows 10 to Windows 11 migration projects

Experience in laboratory IT, scientific environments, or the pharmaceutical/biotech industry is highly desirable

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a structured approach to problem solving

Experience with endpoint management, device deployment, and hardware lifecycle management

Familiarity with scientific software and laboratory instruments is an advantage

Good understanding of Windows security, patching, and system administration

Strong communication skills and experience working with end users, vendors, and cross\-functional teams

Fluent in English; German is an advantage
