Directs Medical Group operations, interpreting policy and managing enterprise functions.

Plans, executes, and resolves issues for complex programs.

Directs selections, promotions, awards, discipline, and resolves grievances.

Implements training and career development programs.

Develops policies and aligns personnel for organizational goals.

Serves as the principal executive director for enterprise-level communications, synchronizing unified organizational messaging across all subordinate units.

Conducts high-level liaison with senior base leadership, external partners, and represents the MTF Director/Commander at various committees and boards.

Leverages executive authority to build strategic alliances with other MTFs, government agencies, and the broader community to resolve systemic issues and strengthen partnerships.

Directs internal review, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance across the regional medical enterprise.

Synthesizes complex data, monitors quality metrics, and conducts audits to drive policy updates and process improvements.

Oversees strategic integration of logistics and clinical operations, leverages data analytics, and acts as a strategic liaison to resolve systemic issues.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing executive leadership and administrative oversight for a medical treatment facility (MTF), performing medical strategic planning, integrating policies within the medical command, developing action plans, and resolving conflicting priorities; overseeing financial management and cost reduction initiatives; and ensuring regulatory compliance and quality assurance.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
