Our client is a leading international industrial company operating in a highly technical manufacturing environment.
## Job Description ##
Key Responsibilities
* Define and implement the sourcing strategy for the assigned commodity (metal components).
* Manage and develop an international supplier portfolio, ensuring competitiveness, quality and delivery performance.
* Lead supplier selection processes, RFQs, commercial negotiations and contract management.
* Drive cost reduction, value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Project teams throughout the product lifecycle.
* Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions where required.
* Support new product development and industrialization projects from a procurement perspective.
* Identify and mitigate supply chain risks while ensuring business continuity.
## The Successful Applicant ##
Your Profile
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related field.
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in strategic procurement of metal components.
* Previous experience purchasing categories such as castings, forgings, machined parts, fabricated metal components or similar.
* Experience gained within demanding industrial sectors such as aerospace, aviation, automotive, railway or other advanced manufacturing environments.
* Strong negotiation, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
* Good understanding of manufacturing processes and supplier management.
* Fluent English is mandatory. Additional European languages are considered an asset.
