Associate Director, Engineering Excellence (Software Solutions)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director, Engineering Excellence (Software Solutions) to lead strategic initiatives focused on business intelligence, cost transparency, financial performance reporting, and technology roadmap development across the engineering organization.

This role combines technical expertise in data analytics and business intelligence with program leadership, stakeholder management, and organizational influence. The successful candidate will drive data-driven decision-making, improve financial visibility, and facilitate technology planning across multiple Product Business Units (PBUs), while helping to shape the future direction of Engineering Excellence.

**Key Responsibilities

**

* Business Intelligence & Cost Transparency

* Own and enhance the enterprise Cost Transparency reporting framework.

* Develop and maintain scalable data models and reporting solutions using Power BI and related analytics tools.

* Integrate and validate data from multiple enterprise systems, including finance, timesheet, and product management platforms.

* Ensure high levels of data quality, accuracy, and reporting reliability.

* Design and deliver executive dashboards that provide actionable business insights.

* Drive user adoption through training, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.

* Financial Performance & Cost Reduction Reporting

* Manage reporting processes related to facility cost savings and operational efficiency initiatives.

* Track and communicate progress against organizational cost reduction targets.

* Perform variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

* Develop reporting mechanisms that support leadership decision-making and financial accountability.

* Collaborate with finance and operational teams to improve reporting accuracy and transparency.

* Technology Roadmap Management

* Lead the development and facilitation of technology roadmap initiatives across multiple business units.

* Partner with engineering leaders and subject matter experts to define long-term technology strategies.

* Plan and facilitate workshops, innovation sessions, and strategic planning activities.

* Translate business priorities into actionable technology roadmaps aligned with long-range plans.

* Develop repeatable frameworks, tools, and playbooks for roadmap execution and governance.

* Program Leadership & Stakeholder Management

* Lead multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously from concept through implementation.

* Build strong partnerships with engineering, finance, product management, and executive leadership teams.

* Provide regular updates on program status, risks, milestones, and outcomes.

* Influence stakeholders and drive alignment across diverse functional groups.

* Represent Engineering Excellence initiatives at leadership reviews and strategic planning sessions.

* Continuous Improvement & Innovation

* Champion best practices in data analytics, software solutions, and business intelligence.

* Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and automation.

* Promote a culture of continuous improvement, data integrity, and operational excellence.

* Support organizational capability building through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and adoption of modern tools and methodologies.

**Required Qualifications

**

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

* Proven experience developing data models, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions using Power BI or similar platforms.

* Experience integrating and managing data across multiple enterprise systems.

* Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, cost analysis, and business performance measurement.

* Demonstrated success leading cross-functional programs and strategic initiatives.

* Experience facilitating workshops, stakeholder engagement sessions, and business planning activities.

* Ability to independently lead projects from concept through successful implementation.

* Excellent communication, presentation, and executive reporting skills.

**Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.

* Experience supporting global engineering or technology organizations.

* Knowledge of software development processes, Agile methodologies, or digital transformation initiatives.

* Familiarity with AI, automation, and advanced analytics solutions.

* Experience managing large-scale business intelligence platforms and enterprise data environments.
