Your role To combine strong product judgment with deep technical ownership, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (f/m/x) .

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will own complex features and technical initiatives end-to-end, from understanding the underlying problem and challenging assumptions to designing the solution, shipping it, and improving it in production. Alongside your work within a product module, you will help solve technical problems that have broader consequences for the platform and the engineers building on it.

At Tanso, senior engineers remain hands-on product builders. The main difference at senior level is not simply owning “bigger features.” It is your ability to go deeper technically, navigate more complex problem spaces, make high-quality architectural decisions, and raise the effectiveness of the engineering organization around you.

Key responsibilities Own technically complex product initiatives from problem definition through architecture, implementation, rollout, and iteration.

Identify unnecessary complexity, challenge assumptions, and help the team focus on solutions that create meaningful customer value.

Contribute to cross-cutting platform improvements that make the product more reliable, maintainable, and easier to evolve.

Raise the technical quality bar through thoughtful design, code reviews, technical guidance, and hands-on collaboration with other engineers.

Work closely with product design, customer success, and other engineers to turn ambiguous problems into effective product solutions.

Your profile 5+ years of hands-on TypeScript experience in high velocity SaaS environments.

Strong full-stack and product thinking, understanding systems end-to-end.

Experience with backend development, ideally with PostgreSQL and Azure.

Clear, precise communicator in English.

Self-driven problem solver with strong ownership and execution mindset.

Nice to have German language skills.
