Key Tasks
Flight Control Software: Design, develop, implement, and test model-based flight control software to enable new aircraft capabilities and enhance system performance.
Simulation & Validation: Verify and validate newly implemented features using a comprehensive simulation framework to ensure reliability, safety, and performance.
Documentation: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation and training materials describing flight control logic, software architecture, and system behavior.
Autonomy: Design and implement safe, reliable autonomous flight sequences that meet customer requirements and comply with the latest aviation safety standards and regulations.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including systems, avionics, flight operations, and design engineers, to develop innovative features and continuously improve our unmanned helicopter platforms.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and evolving safety regulations, incorporating best practices into software development processes.
Your profile
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or equivalent qualification is preferred.
Experience: Proven experience with model-based development, preferably in the aviation or aerospace industry. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and best practices is required.
Experience programming in C or a similar language is an advantage.
Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing is a plus.
Skills: Strong expertise in model-based development using Simulink or similar tools. Solid understanding of flight dynamics. Ability to design and execute comprehensive test programs, from unit testing through to system-level validation. Excellent technical communication and documentation skills.
Language: Professional proficiency in English is required. German is desirable.

Working independently and communicating complex technical matters precisely and concisely to a multidisciplinary team
Compliance according to ANAVIA’s employment contract, compliance with company’ safety instructions and employee’ safety requirements, compliance with ANAVIA’s quality manual, work instructions and corresponding process specifications and instructions.
International travel required of up to 25% of employee’ working hours.
